As the one day of the year devoted to gratitude and gathering people together, Thanksgiving is truly special. If you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, these beautiful Thanksgiving table setting ideas will give you the inspiration you need to make your guests feel welcome and create a memorable and special time for everyone.

Wondering when and how to set up and decorate a Thanksgiving table? I know entertaining can be a bit stressful, so I always set my Thanksgiving dinner table the day before–or even a few days before–the big day.  This makes Thanksgiving day a lot less stressful, allowing me to enjoy my guests and all the yummy food. Check out my post on effortless entertaining for more tips.

You can create an inexpensive and elegant Thanksgiving tablescape without getting stressed out.  Simply use what you already have on hand!

A couple of years ago, I borrowed some moss and faux succulents from a terrarium and added them to a wooden dough bowl, along with mini pumpkins to create a simple Thanksgiving table.

For the Thanksgiving place settings, I snipped some greenery from one of my patio pots, added a length of ribbon, and used cardboard gift tags to create a little reminder of what Thanksgiving is all about.  So simple and easy!  These “Thankful” napkins would be perfect here, too!

For another fall tablescape, I simply scattered pumpkins and faux artichokes around a glass hurricane candle holder.  This time, I used patterned dinnerware, silver chargers instead of the woven ones and silver flatware to create a more elegant look.

Let the following Thanksgiving table setting ideas from Pinterest inspire you, then look around your house and yard.  Gather candles and candlesticks, pumpkins, fresh or faux branches and greenery, miscellaneous treasures, and even vegetables and fruits.

Get creative and have fun with this!  Thanksgiving is a holiday after all, and holidays are meant to be enjoyed–even by the host and hostess!
