Thanksgiving Home Décor Inspiration
Halloween has come and gone (can you believe it?) and I’m already looking forward to Thanksgiving, when we can get together with our girls and their families for food and fun.
To me, the thing that really sets the stage for lovely fall gatherings is warm and welcoming Thanksgiving home décor. Particularly at this time of year, it’s nice to put even more effort than usual into making your house a place that promotes feelings of joy, comfort, and togetherness.
This fall I tried to use more autumn-themed décor, rather than Halloween-specific décor, so I don’t have a lot to do to prepare our home for Thanksgiving, especially since our younger daughter is hosting this year. (Yay!) But I still want to add a few warm fall touches to spruce things up until later this month, when I’ll haul out the Christmas decorations.
I’ve found so many inspiring ideas for autumn home décor on Pinterest, so I thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you today, in the hope they’ll inspire you, too, to create a home that promotes thanksgiving and love this holiday season.

Love this modern take on mantel décor using painted pumpkins and a gorgeous feather garland.
Glamourous and festive gold pumpkins, pinecones and candles make for a beautiful centerpiece. I love that it’s low so you can see who’s across the table from you! P.S. I bought a burlap runner just like this at Target for $3.
Striking glimmer strings from Pier One can be used in so many creative ways! Visit their website for more ideas.
I love the simplicity and beauty of using heirloom pumpkins surrounded by grapevine nests as a natural centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table.
Let your guests write their reasons to be thankful on colorful “leaves” attached to natural stems to create a meaningful and lasting tradition for Thanksgiving get-togethers.
I love succulents–their natural vibrancy and beauty makes them the perfect addition to year-round décor. And when you pair them with pumpkins, the result is truly magical!
A warm and welcoming display featuring painted pumpkins, wheat stalks, and vintage elements.
Love this chalkboard print from Dear Lillie: “In everything give thanks.” (1 Thess. 5:18) A great reminder–not only for the season, but for every day!
